IMC: Just the Facts

Several questions about the use of IMC have been asked at trade shows and other events over the last year and we realize that there are a many misconceptions concerning IMC. This article is here to clear up some simple facts.

IMC is stronger than GRC. If you can use GRC, you can use IMC (the NEC backs that up). Allied’s IMC is as strong, lighter in weight, and less expensive than rigid. In fact, it can save you as much as 30% in overall costs. We have more facts where that came from.

AFC Cable Systems Receives Top Rating in IDW

idea - IDW

AFC Cable is proud to announce that we have recently achieved 99% compliance within IDEA’s Data Certification Program.

This program was designed to measure the item-level completeness and quality of the data available within the Industry Data Warehouse (IDW). It focuses on the population of critical data fields that contain transactional and descriptive product information our distributor partners need to conduct business and sell our products (e.g. brand, packaging, price effective date, etc.).

NSF, ETL, or UL Mark: What’s the Difference?

What's the difference?

Atkore’s acquisitions of Heritage Plastics, Ridgeline Pipe and American Pipe and Plastics (API) over the last couple of years have expanded our nonmetallic product portfolio considerably and changed us from a regional supplier into a market leader with a national presence in PVC conduit and plastic pipe.  The integration of these strong brand names with our existing Allied branded PVC conduit has led to some questions about PVC conduit markings and the difference between UL and ETL certification.

We Put Kwik-Couple IMC Up Against Standard IMC with a 3-Piece Coupling – Which Was Faster and Easier?

Kwik-Couple IMC allows you to save time and money because it doesn’t require you to turn the electrical conduit. It also connects in half the time of standard IMC straight with its separate couplings. It’s great in cramped spaces and eliminates the need for 3-piece couplings! This makes it great for offsets and bends. IMC is also up to 30% lighter than Rigid Conduit!

We’ll show you just how fast it is in this side-by-side video shoot on YouTube.
