United States Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) recently visited the headquarters of Atkore International Inc. in Harvey, Illinois to meet with the company’s executive leadership team. Discussions focused on manufacturing in Illinois, key issues facing the business, current federal and state legislation, and, as emphasized by Senator Kirk, the need for continued innovation in ensuring the company’s competiveness in a global economy.

As part of his visit, Senator Kirk also toured Atkore’s one million square foot manufacturing and distribution center to view its Flo-Coat process, the first patented “in-line” galvanization process used to produce the renowned Allied Tube & Conduit product line.

“We appreciate Senator Kirk taking time out of his busy schedule to meet with us. This visit demonstrates Senator Kirk’s interest in learning more about our business and the value we bring as an important economic contributor to the state and local economies,” commented John Williamson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Atkore International.
